Frequently Asked Questions

What are the usage limits?

Currently, we provide unlimited bandwidth and storage for all our users. We'd love to be able to do this for as long as possible! However, we may remove files from the system if we find that they are consuming too many resources.

What is "too many" resources?

The definition of "too many resources" will vary with the load on our servers, but we can give general guidance:

For free accounts: 100 requests per hour is definitely OK, 100 requests per minute is probably not OK.

We try our best not to limit free users as long as we have capacity, but our Premium Accounts are always an option for businesses and heavy users.

Can I close/delete my account?

Currently, no. You don't need to do anything except delete all your files and stop using your account; we typically don't email or contact you (ever). The option to close accounts will be available in the future.

Do you offer premium accounts?

Kiwi6 Premium Hosting logo We do! Premium Accounts are for users that need more features and have more demanding requirements.

How long do my files stay on the site?

We keep files forever, with no restrictions on activity and no file deletion periods. Please respect our service by removing files you are no longer using.

How come I can't download a file?

Internet Explorer Privacy Settings option panel You need to have browser cookies and referers turned on for downloading to work. The specific instructions vary by browser. Cookies and referers are on by default on most browsers. Antivirus or privacy guard programs like Norton may interfere unless they are properly configured.

In Internet Explorer, the "Privacy" tab is usually the one that needs to be adjusted:

Some of my private files have downloads, why is that?

All downloads, even by you, increase the download count. In the past, our service monitor also downloaded files to make sure the website was working. Today, these automated downloads no longer affect download statistics.
