Included in the book are 28 short stories that illustrate my text, and Sharon is one of the story contributors who I interviewed and edited; therefore, the “previously published” phrase. Sharon suggested I include a book description and image for you. Not sure what you need, so will attach my Media Kit and a One-Page. Thanks again. Nice meeting you Cynthia. Sharon is an interesting interview. Enjoy!
Discovering My Life’s Purpose
By Sharon Richlark
In 1987, while I was advising people on how to get in touch with their spiritual guides and their higher selves, I was given a message to start an angel store in Vancouver. There were no angel stores in Canada at that time. Through my research I discovered that the only angel store in all of North America was in Denver, Colorado.
My three women business partners and I decided to drive to Denver to visit this angel store and see what it was like. After visiting the store, we were leaving Denver to return home when I mentioned a story that had been told to me by two people who didn’t know one another.
Years earlier, my bio-kinesiologist advised me that there was a woman in Boulder with whom I would come to have a very strong connection relating to my work and life’s purpose. Later, one of my students who had an accurate talent in accessing the spiritual dominions and information flows, told me I would meet a woman who was to be my life teacher, and that this woman would be like a mother to me. It would change my life and I would carry on her work, adapting it in such a way as to be the “messenger” of her work. I would study with her, sitting at her feet, taking in every word, handwriting everything that
she said and did.
In the car, my friends asked, “Well, have you met her yet?”
“No! I’m not interested in meeting her. My life is too busy.”
But, within half an hour, we were heading to Boulder where this woman lived. I had been given her name by the kinesiologist, and so, when I told my partners her name, they wanted to meet her. But I didn’t have any interest in pursuing it.
On the outskirts of Boulder we saw the long dirt road that led to a country residence. There was a large iron blue cross in the middle of the field with a sign that said, Peaceful Meadow Retreat. I sensed that Spirit was very much present on the property. We drove up to the residence, went to the screen door and knocked.
Out came a very tiny and angry woman. She was angry at me, no one else. She wore black stockings, a navy blue German style dress with a white bib apron, a little white frilly cap on her head, and she held a wooden spoon, which she shook at me. I had never met her before in my life! She was Reverend Hanna Kroeger.
She proceeded to bawl me out because I had taken so long to come to her. She was so angry she couldn’t speak to me. She took the three ladies into a common room and left them there with their mouths open! Then she pushed me into another room and told me to sit and not disturb her. She was going to talk with the other ladies but not with me.
I sat in the other room, looking at pictures and statues of Jesus and Mother Mary, and beautiful plants that were growing wild. I saw a map of the United States of America and on this map Hanna had placed string, sand, copper wire, pieces of fabric, crosses, and various crystals in order to help purify and heal North America. The energy of Mother Mary and the presence of angels were very strong in the room. I realized I was supposed to be there and became comfortable.
Hanna would come in and check on me every so often. She became less angry because she realized I was doing what she wanted. She reminded me of my mother.
An hour later, Hanna led me out of the room. She had made one of the women write down strict instructions, things to do about my health. We were to go to her herb shop in Boulder and purchase the list of items that had been written down. She said she was not going to contact me again until I did exactly what was written there. My friends were upset, concerned about my welfare. They’d never experienced anything like this before.
And so, on the way home we stopped at one of the nation’s first health food stores, the now famous Hanna’s Herb Shop on Pearl Street in Boulder. Opened in 1957, Hanna’s Herb Shop became recognized around the world for helping people. Many people in the area said that Hanna had saved their life and they called her the “Grandmother of Health.” She was a Master Herbalist and she understood the dynamics of natural laws, working with old and ancient methods from the obscure Aramaic texts of Jesus which had come into her possession years before in Europe. We purchased everything that was on the list.
Upon returning home, I proceeded to follow Hanna’s protocol and my health improved dramatically. Within two months I returned to Boulder to train with Hanna, knowing I was meant to master her techniques and become one of her people. Hanna recognized our direct connection and told me I was to know my life’s purpose by knowing her.
I remember that on Sundays for church services in the Chapel of Miracles, cars would arrive starting from early morning and park everywhere on the property. People came to receive her sermons and dissertations for health and spiritual healing. Students and facilitators would also sit and pray, working with the vibration of healing through the chanting of prayers and traditional hymns. After church, there would be a seemingly mile-long line up of people waiting to see Hanna. Well-known individuals of all walks of life came to greet Hanna for healing, inspiration, and understanding. I witnessed miracles on numerous occasions.
Hanna passed away in May 1998 at the age of eighty-five. That following Sunday they held a commemorative service—on Mother’s Day.
