History of Armenia:Podcast Series

This project is first of its kind. It’s a series of podcasts about the Armenian history from its early periods until the modern day.
Listen and find out about the situation in Armenia during the first half of the 6th century when the divided Armenian provinces had turned into a battleground between renewed Byzantine-Sassanid hostilities. This time we have focused on the turbulent situation in the Arsacid Armenia during the reigns of kings Arshak and Pap, a period when Armenia was plagued by the internal struggles between the nobility, the king and the church, coupled with the external struggle of trying to survive between Rome and Persia.
In this part 3 of our presentation about the Arsacid period in Armenia, we talk about the immediate aftermath of the Armenian conversion to Christianity. We explore the situation within Armenia’s two imperial neighbors, Rome and Persia, that will jointly decide the fate of Armenia by the end of the 4th century.
