Does iTunes host my podcast?

No. iTunes does not host audio files or your RSS feed. A podcast hosting provider like Kiwi6 can do this for you, or you can run your own web server.

Can I make changes to my iTunes listing?

iTunes gets its listing information from your podcast's RSS feed. To change the listing in iTunes, update your podcast account settings. Changes can take 24 hours or longer to be reflected iTunes.

How can I test my RSS feed before I submit it to iTunes?

  • Open iTunes.
  • Click File » Subscribe to Podcast...
  • Paste your RSS feed URL, then click OK.
  • If the feed is valid, you'll see your podcast show up under your "Podcasts" list.

Can I sell access to my podcast in the iTunes store?

Podcasts appearing in iTunes must be free.

I published an episode recently, why isn't it on iTunes?

iTunes can take 24 hours or more to update its listing whenever you post an update. Your subscribers, however, will get their updates immediately (based on how often each subscriber checks for updates).

If your podcast listing hasn't been updated in more than 72 hours, contact iTunes.
